The Natural World Museum ( http://www.naturalworldmuseum.org/ ) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit tax-exempt charitable organization whose mission is to provide educational art exhibitions that promote environmental awareness and stimulate social engagement in conservation.
NWM's underlying philosophy is that art can impact conservation awareness, if presented in a compelling framework, accessible to all. With environmental sustainability the most pressing concern for the 21st century, cross-disciplinary integration - such as collaboration between art and science - is needed to bring public attention to the degradation of the natural world and delicate fate of all those who depend on the earth for survival. Thus, Environmental Art is an engaging way to encourage those who might otherwise be intimidated by science to think about conservation and sustainability.
Natural World Museum aims to be a showcase for Environmental Art, a center for conservation art programs and education, and a hub for cross-dialogue that advances a culture of sustainability.

Robotics Society of America -
NIMBY is the very proud home to the creators & organizers of the ROBOlympics.
The ROBOlympics, an event bringing together a broad range of robot competitions, will take place at San Francisco State University on March 24-27, 2005. This will be a larger occasion than the first ROBOlympics, which was held in 2004 at the Herbst Pavillion, and will feature robotic triathlon, soccer, wrestling, maze solving, bartending, and other activities.
